The Salty Rose was founded in 2016 by Alyssa Pittera. This business is her passion project and full time gig. She is an herbalist, plant & fungi enthusiast, kitchen witch, alchemist, and a passionate gardener.
All of our herbal products are crafted in small batches with the highest quality ingredients. The first place plants and mushrooms are sourced from is our backyard gardens, local woods and fields of wildflowers. Secondly, we source from other local farmers and gardeners. And beyond that every other ingredients is sourced organically ethically, and sustainably from companies we respect.
Our beeswax comes from a NH beekeeper, our oil comes from NH grown organic sunflowers, and our lavender hydrosol comes from an organic Maine lavender farm.
We are always trying to find better, more sustainable, more local ways to make and package our products! We appreciate your support more than you know!
